Imagining Ireland in 2020, Wellington Park Hotel, Belfast - October 2005

The Irish Aassociation held annual conference in Belfast in 2005 looked at what Ireland will be like in the year 2020. A range of expers in economics, politics, education and social affairs gave their views on what the island of Ireland will be like in 15 years time. Keynote speakers at the conference included, Dr Garret Fitzgerald, Senator Martin Mansergh, Professor Paul Bew Dr. Andrew Finlay and Dr. Marie Breen Smyth. The after dinner speaker at the event was Northern Ireland US Consul General Dean Pittman.

Speakers from Belfast, Derry and Dublin and Dundalk including Dr Garrett Fitzgerald, Professor John Fitzgerald, Dr Michael Mansergh, Professor Joyce O'Connor, Professor Paul Bew, Dr Goretti Horgan, Professor Marie Smyth, Dr Jim Dougal. The US Consulate provided reception in Ardnavalley House before the conference dinner and the Consul was the after dinner speaker.
