Dr DONAL O'TIERNEY, FRCGP, Hon. Treasurer

Donal O'Tierney was born in Warrenpoint Co. Down. He was educated in Clongowes Wood College in Co. Kildare, and Univ. College Dublin Medical School. He played rugby for his school and University.

He returned to Warrenpoint in 1958 and worked in the Medical practice founded by his father until his semi retirement a couple of years ago. He was awarded his Fellowship in the Royal College of General Practitioners in 1988. He married Winifred from Bray Co. Wicklow and they have three grown up children. He was a founder member of the Carlingford Lough Yacht Club and was the Club's Secretary for many years. His interests include politics, Christianity, hill walking, sailing and travel.
